Am I the only one who is facing problems? After the first scene, just when I arrived in Rapture with the submarine-thing, it starts loading and than crashes, got the blue screen in Windows. Anyone has it too?

this shit plays the intro video and then afterwards all i see is fire black and cubes with bubbles coming out of them. Somethings fucked up with the graphics and I can't fix it. Help.

im having the same problem as chimaera, but i dont get a blue screen, the game just crashes and sais that the bioshock.exe was the problem. Hm is there a way around that?

This is the working release.

Crashes - It's the game, not the crack. Been some problems with it on certain configs I've read. Some say that lowering all details to medium helps sometimes.

If all you get are wierd blocks and bubbles, it is because you have a Shader Model 2 video card, which 2K has said they don't even bother with any more. There's a guy working on a fan-made shader hack, and it's decent but not perfect. You can get it at shadershock.tk

If you are getting "configuration incorrect" you probably need to upgrade your Daemon Tools to 4.10. The version of securom used by bioshock isn't covered by earlier versions.

Also, the game sometimes doesn't let itself start if you have Anti-Blaxx running. Just exit antiblaxx (you don't have to uninstall it, just close it out).

@ mygith: That's what I had the first time, that it crashed and says bioshock.exe is the problem, but when I started the game again for the second time, my screen turned blue, needed to reboot. So I deleted the game from my hard drive, to avoid further problems. I'll just wait for a REAL proper release.

Im very new to this. And so... I'm totally lost. I loaded the torrent and now I have all these files, bio-lol to extract with winrar. They all contain the iso (?). Are all the isos the same, or do i have to do something to each one seperate? I loaded Nero, but I'm not really sure what to do with it. Do i only need to burn one Iso (any of them?) to a dvd or cd? I'm so confused. Any help or a link to a walkthrough for this stuff would be appreciated. I = n00b and dont understand how this is supposed to work

well my graphix card is a radeon x700 pro which is a pretty good card I'm sure its compatible with this game. I can watch the on the plane opening video but afterward the graphix are all fucked. Put everthing on medium (which was hard cause the cursor doesnt show up the menu either)and still didn't fix anything. Lame release if your gonna crack a game do it right.

Rindoze, it's not the crack, it is Bioshock. The Radeon x700 is NOT shader model 3. Neither is the x800 series. I think you need an x19__ or an Nvidia 6600 or later for Shader Model 3. If you have an older card than that, 2K games (the actual company that put out the game BioShock) says you aren't l33t enough to play bioshock.

Whoops, my bad, I just checked... the oldest radeon that has Shader Model 3 is the x1300. So if you have a card lower than a radeon x1300 or a Geforce 6600 you're Shit Outta Luck for playing Bioshock without the shader hack you can get from shadershock.tk , even if you actually buy the game.

I bought this game and I have the same crashing bulls... its a crappy release by 2K. spent 60 dollars and can't shoot anything because there are serious software conflicts with XP and Bioshock.
I already send a few mails to 2K and Steam but its dead silence on the other side of the atlantic.
Is this what happens if a game is released to early or is the copyprotection destroing the game ????

i finally got it to work after trying all day because i'm a noob =) Took me forever to figure out how to burn the ISO to a dvd. Then to figure out I needed a dual layer dvd... then to realize my computer doesnt have a dual layer burner. Then to realize I can just download a virtual dvd drive. Luckily i did all this realizing before going to buy more dvds. Game works like a charm. =) I wish my laptop could run it in better than low settings... but thats ok. Still very fun game. Thanks

If you wanna fix crashing game you have to install the latest Nvidia 163.44(BETA) drivers with are working well with everything for me on GF6800Ultra

I got to the point that i had the telekenisis plasmid and every time on my way back to that crazy ass professor is freezes and my pc just reboots.

This sjit sucks..
